This unit is NOT compatible with the older series 1 and 2 reaps or series 1 hunters, those optics have "S" style plugs on them and use the "Gen 2" Predator Precision DVR.

Our Predator Precision Micro DVR was developed as a result of a huge success in our Halo recorder, and receiving requests for the same recorder for Trijicon units. It is the same high quality DVR in D1 (720) resolution, with audio. This is an excellent choice for people who want to be able to record with their newer series 3 reaps and series 2 hunter thermals, but want to run an external battery supply instead of cr123.
The Micro DVR does require a power source, many people already run a power supply for the thermal, so if you have a power supply that has a USB out port, this will simply slip into that ports. A Samsung micro SD card is also included.
