About Us and Shipping/Handling/Return Policies

OUR MISSION:

Thermal Optics Plus aims to get quality thermal optics and accessories in the hands of customers at reasonable prices while providing honest and efficient service that will keep you coming back for all your predator, hog, and owning the night needs.

OUR GOAL:

We try and treat every order and interaction with customers as if we were the customer, we put ourselves in your shoes, and try to give the same treatment and experience that we would want to receive.  We are hunters and outdoor enthusiasts that know the shortcomings of dealing with people and companies that want to make a sale at any cost, we want to make a sale and another and another, we want to earn your business and have you come back to us for everything you need as well as recommend us to your friends.  We appreciate and treat every order, regardless of the dollar amount, like we were dealing with an order for ourselves.  We feel confident if you ask anyone who has done business with us that they will have had a good experience and recommend that you use us for whatever you need.  We have been selling thermal optics and everything else that goes with using them for 8+ years now and and we are one of the only places that carry all the major thermal optics brands, we know what works and will give you an unbiased opinion on what to purchase considering all options on the market.  We want your business!

Shipping and Handling General Practices:

Domestic:

We generally use UPS and USPS to ship orders.  We stock virtually everything on our website with rare exception.  If an item is showing it is in stock then we have it on the shelf, if it is special order or some type of drop ship item then the listing will say that in bright red at the top of the product page, the one major exception to this is Athlon Optics brand products which are all drop shipped and this adds a few days to the shipment time of those products.  If an item is smaller in size or lower in value we will typically ship it with USPS, if your shipping address is a PO BOX the order MUST be shipped with USPS, generally anything that has any value to it in the hundreds of dollars or more range will be shipped via UPS signature required.  All OPTICS are sent signature required via UPS, unless a PO BOX is given as the shipping address and then it will ship USPS signature required.  Ground shipping is free on everything at this time.  We generally get orders out the same or next business day.  Most orders shipping via UPS will ship the same business day if the order is in a little before 4 eastern, most orders shipping via USPS will ship by mid morning the next business day.  Instead of having absolute shipping times and rules we have chosen to just handle and ship each order as fast as we possibly can, we have a dedicated person that does nothing except ship packages for us M-F 9-6 and we are routinely praised for our shipping and handling times!  If you need to expedite shipping please email or call us and we will work with you to try and get you what you need by when you need it.

Foreign:

First and foremost ALL ITAR Restrictions will be upheld to the absolute best of our ability with or without your compliance to the laws, this leaves us unwilling to ship virtually anything we sell outside of the USA with rare exceptions.  If you do not follow ITAR Restrictions we will do our absolute best to help in your prosecution.  Due to the nature of the products we offer, as well as the fact many have ITAR restrictions, we can and will cancel/refund any order at our discretion, we can and will request more information about you or your location or payment, and/or take any other actions we deem appropriate or necessary with the security of the USA, its citizens, government, LE, first responders and military located domestically and foreign in mind first and foremost.  For example if you are buying something that is not ITAR restricted but still could be used against our military to any degree, like tripods, ball heads, or scope mounts for example, we most likely will NOT ship the order outside of the USA and this INCLUDES shipping to places that are domestically located forwarding services for packages going to other countries.  If you live outside the USA or plan to ultimately have something end up outside the USA that is or is not ITAR restricted you should contact us first or otherwise we WILL err on the side of caution ALWAYS trying to especially keep our military located outside the United States safety in mind over all other circumstances!

Return Policy:

Any unused brand new item purchased can be returned in the first 14 days after purchase, shipping both ways will be the responsibility of the customer.  Returns are accepted on out of the box defective product for 14 days after the purchase.  Any defective product after that time period will be fixed through warranty repair/replacement with the original manufacturer.  We will be happy to assist you in the process should you need our help.  This is the policy most of our manufacturers have asked us to adhere to and we have agreed to do as they wish.  Exceptions are made at the sole discretion of Thermal Optics Plus.
