This wire kit will work well with any external battery setup alone, but it is specifically made up to be used with the JL MetalWorx Thermion Caps (it may not fit other brands caps which are similar).  It includes a 1.6 foot (approximately half meter) wire that is a USB A connector on one end that goes into external batteries such as the JL MetalWorx Rechargeable Battery Kit which utilizes an Anker Battery Pack, the other end is a right angled magnetic connector that specifically fits into the JL MetalWorx Thermion Caps but can be used by itself for other optics.  The magnetic ends included with this wire kit are the USB Micro, USB C, and 8 pin lightning (Apple Charging only no date transfer).
